Thanks again to Pranee for all her effort and expertise. I’m inspired. Tonight, I made a batch of chicken Phad Thai out of the left over sauce and ingredients. It turned out great!!!! Hubby was truly impressed, and he’s tough critic. I think the tips Pranee gave us about not overcooking the noodles and rotating the noodles as they cook in the sauce really saved me. It only took a few minutes to whip up.

Last April, Khun Pranee, with the help of several wonderful Thai friends, planned and prepared a fantastic Thai dinner for 100 people who attended the Yontararak family piano concert at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Gig Harbor. Khun Pranee, is an incredibly gracious and warm woman, an example of Thai beauty. She is a remarkable teacher and is a blessing to all who seek the joy of Thai cooking.

I love cooking, and I love Thai food, but how do I learn to cook Thai? Pranee was the answer. She has designed cooking classes that provide introductions to the basics as well as the intricacies of Thai cuisine (and shopping!). I learned to cook Thai with intuition, as Pranee provided well researched and tested recipes as foundations to teach which flavors to combine and emphasize, which textures to match, and which consistencies to shoot for. There is no better way to learn Thai cooking, for the beginner and advanced student (I took several of her classes) because in the end it is Pranee’s experience that mattered most to my enjoyment of the Thai Cuisine.
