About Pranee’s Thai Kitchen Blog. After teaching for over 19 years, Pranee Khruasanit Halvorsen has finally decided that it is time to share all those wonderful recipes, stories, tips and techniques with a larger audience of Thai food enthusiasts. She is ready to focus on writing a cookbook. Where to begin? She will start by organizing the recipes, tips and techniques that she has written and saved on her computer, along with the food photographs she has taken during many tasteful trips. She learned about writing a blog over the past few years from many experts at the annual International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) conferences. Her English is not perfect, her speaking and writing have a unique accent. You will find her personality and cooking style in this blog.
Pranee is still teaching Thai cooking full-time in Seattle and has more than 1,000 students a year. She will not be able to share all of the popular Thai recipes in her cookbook that she uses in her classes, but some will appear in this blog along with many basic Thai cooking techniques and essential knowledge. She wants to help her students and blog visitors deepen their knowledge and help them master Thai cooking at home. As Pranee always says, there is a lot of homework waiting for you on “Pranee’s Thai Kitchen Blog.”
Students and blog visitors are welcome to ask questions and post comments. These will be beneficial for everyone.
Thank you for visiting Pranee’s Thai Kitchen Blog.
Happy Thai Cooking @ your kitchen.
Pranee

Hello,
I saw you at the Snohomish Market, I asked your opinion on a good wok, I’ve been looking at your site but don’t find a link yet.
Could you please direct me to the right wok pan, I have a gas stove that has an 18000 btu so ready to put it to use.
Beautiful recipes, I can hopefully take in one of your classes in the future.
Thanks, T.

Hi Pranee,
First, I absolutely love your blog and I wish I was somewhere near you to experience your wonderful cooking. Thai food really is one my most favorite cuisines (and Thailand is my favorite country to travel to). Anyway, I recently received the Versatile Blogger Award, and I want to nominate you regardless of how many accolades you may already have. I hope to contribute a little more traffic to your site.
Please visit http://loungelassie.wordpress.com for the rules. There aren’t very many…
Best,
Linda
Pranee, I never knew you had a blog! I’m so excited. Love, love your recipes. Fantastic!
Karista, Thank you for visiting my blog. I love yours as well. Happy blogging!
Hi Pranee, you have got a very nice blog with great stuff. I will keep visiting when I would like to make Thai food. TC
I was fortunate enough to go with Pranee on a Thailand adventure where 12 of us were able to take 3 cooking classes in Chaing Mai and Phuket and tour Bangkok, Chaing Mai and Phuket areas. It was an amazing trip and I highly recommend her as a tour operator as well as an amazing Thai cooking coach! We came back to the states with wonderful memories, new friends and new skills and abilities to create Thai dishes on our own and share the love! Thank you Pranee!!
Thank you, Gerilyn. I had amazing time leading a great group. And I loved our itinerary as well.
